Soho Platform Bed
If you think all sleigh beds are designed with the traditional home in mind, think again - the Soho Platform Bed makes the classic sleigh bed contemporary with sleek lines and two bold finishes. The usual sleigh footboard gives way to a clean, open foot rail or low-profile footboard, letting the sweeping headboard take center stage. Finished in black or white and topped with your own striped or monochromatic bedding, the Soho bed neatly bridges the gap between the familiar and the unexpected.
This modern bed is crafted with mortise-and-tenon joinery and durable MDF and plywood, as are the side rails and headboard. The entire bed is finished with a high-build, five-step finishing process - including two color coats and multiple sealers - to ensure an even, lasting finish. Two finishes are available: Choose sleek black espresso or fresh white.
The bed's curved, convex headboard is offset by either a simple open foot rail or an optional solid panel-design footboard. Two or four optional panel-front storage drawers finished in coordinating shades slip easily underneath the bed to catch clothing, extra blankets, toys, and games. Panel footboard is included when you order drawers; bed only options come with open foot rail.
The headboard and foot rail or footboard connect to the side panels with an innovative hook-and-pin system that allows you to set the frame at two heights. Two metal pins are embedded in the headboard and foot rail or board at two positions, and the side rails are outfitted with hook-shaped hardware that slides into place over the pins. Set the bed high for use with our optional storage drawers or set it low for use with a mattress only.
